I’m learning to use Joomla and have created a site on a local host. Is there any way to look at the site I have created on another computer?
Chosen Answer:
Well, sure.
Quite a few ways
If you want to view from inside the LAN, just get the IP address of the computer that Joomla is installed on and then on the other computer, open a browser and http://192.168.1.xx (or whatever the IP of the target is)
If you want to get at the thing from outside the LAN.
On your router: Forward port 80 to the IP of the machine running Apache (the one with Joomla)
Set up a dynamic dns account someplace free, point it to your router
Use the FQDN from your dynamic DNS provider to access the web server by name from the greater internet.

I liked 110mb.com a lot for hosting my free sites, you might like that too.

First make sure both PCs are on the same network. Now do the following:
- Click on start -> run, type cmd
- Type ipconfig /all
- Take note of the IP (it is something like 192.168.1.8, for example)
Go to the other PC
- Open your browser
- Type http://192.168.1.8
